Portland Hooping Book Media Tour!

After a lovely night's stay at the Heathman Hotel in Portland, I started the today early at 4am to get to my first tv show on time - I was met by Joe of KPTV-TV "Good Day Oregon", a super enthusiastic chap who was amped and ready to give hooping his best shot. It was so nice that he pushed the book right up to the camera at every opportunity. There were 6 separate segments filmed over the course of 2 hours and then I zipped off to the second media opportunity with KATU-TV "AM Northwest".portlandbooktourmedia2.jpg Traffic was tough, but I blazed in just under the wire to hang out in the green room for a moment with another author who wrote a book on knitting, then went into the studio and basically leapt onto stage and away we went with no preparation or discussion. It was great fun. I love being on tv! I am SO lucky to have gotten these wonderful opportunities, to have been able to write this book and to have been sent on tour. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

If you live in the area, be sure to join me tonight at 8:30pm at Studio Nia, 918 SW Yamhill in downtown Portland, where I will be doing booksignings. Note that the 7:30pm class is already full with a waiting list. See you then!
