Morning Hoop

Wow, for whatever reason after about 40 minutes today I simply couldn't keep going... feeling so restless to get out into the sunshine! So I yielded. An interesting practice. The first whole 20 minutes were simply hooping on my legs in my outflow, non-stop. I tried adding shoulder shimmies and standing in one place instead of continually turning and that was a lot to master! Awareness im how I have been holding my spine, shoulders and arms... I never really thought about it much before today. While the hoop orbited my legs, I thought of extending my head high, opening my chest fully while taking deep breaths. i experimented with letting my arms dangle, versus actually holding them with poise along the sides of my body, versus touching my body, versus hands on the back of my sitz bones in fists so there were neat triangular shapes made by my arms. After that shoulder ducks outs on alternating shoulder blades in both the inflow and outflow.... one handed breaks and reversals with awareness on lifting opposite knees... off to the day!
