This morning I appeared on my last show in San Diego. Unlike the others, I didn't have to show up until 10am, which was nice (usually I have been showing up around 7 or so). Also, instead of being in a random industrial park, where many of these stations seem to be located, it was in the heart of downtown San Diego. It was an adventure finding my way there since they didn't provide parking information for this show, so I circled until I found a place. Also, this show was outside instead of inside, on the NBC patio. At first they wanted to feature me with this strange construction crane behind me. I finally got up the nerve to ask them about it and requested having the plants as a background, which they easily agreed to. I'm glad I asked!
I was being featured in a segment alongside two chefs, a designer, a university professor and a band. Kimberly King, the anchor, was super sweet and actually already knew about me because of a trainer she works with who got HoopGirl hoops from me at the IDEA Health and Fitness Conference, so that was really neat... a point of connection.
The segment flew by really fast, only 2 minutes or so, and she asked the usual questions about the hoops and what I do. It was fun and easy and I gave all my hoops away afterwards to the eagar people who were there.
They haven't posted anything on their website since September 7, but here it is in case they do:

Afterwards I completely forgot where I had parked and I walked around for some time looking, but finally found it and caught my next plane in time. Phew! Thank goodness for the portable GPS Kramer gave me! I don't know how I would have found my way without it.
