I was playing with my twins (two hoops) yesterday and really grooving with how the lighter hoops open so many possibilities for actually stopping the rotation and holding the hoops at moments. Also the bliss of doing snake and a horizontal lasso at the same time. They seem to levitate on their own so freely it is amazing! I am endlessly fascinated by double handed stalls, switcheroos, matrix and "o".
Something about double hooping really stimulates my body. I love having to soften my gaze and simulatenously view almost around my own back so that I can immediately compensate for wobble. It requires not just one, but two areas of my body simultaneously moving in call and response to the hoop, sometimes at different rhythms... almost like playing my own body like a drumset with both the down and up beat! I feel an increased full body awareness, almost as if another sense has been awakened. A fully feel body sense I would almost call, "anticipation". Other words which come to mind -- expectation, readiness, presence. Interesting, since I have also been playing with affirmations along the same lines in terms of consciously creating my reality.
Meanwhile, I have been thinking about re-programming my nervous system with conscious languaging. Reading, A Thousand Names for Joy, by Byron Katie. Just the title makes me realize that we have a throusand names for negative things in our society, but how much time do we really spend discovering and actively creating a vocabulary of celebration and joy? Creating and practicing the words will help us encode the feeling frequency into our nervous system. To help me with this vocabulary-prayer-practice, I picked up an amazing program called the "Visual Thesarus". For only $40, you can download it and it creates dimensional webs of words around your search word, and you can click on any other word in the web to create a new web- fanatstic for us visual learners. (Thanks Candice!) If you are a wordie, I highly suggest checking it out. I intend to create new neural pathways and increased connections within my brain and body by energizing my word choices and usages. Fun words I have been searching using this program: joy, fun, happiness, bliss, etc...
Meanwhile, I am so excited to be on the FOX Mike and Juliet Morning Show on monday! I've been spending time watching some archives and imagining myself interacting with them. They seem very real and like lots of fun. I feel so blessed! This is going to be fun!
Thank you Divine Universe. I am grateful for everything!
