Wow! It feels so good to be starting a new year with a solid practice regimen! Finally, managing my life and lining up what is important is easier. Much of last year I felt I was running to catch up with life... now I can actually participate and enjoy it!
Here are some highlights from things I worked on today:
erotic - yea! I finally got it without hitting myself in the head!
Eagle and chest rolls
foot carries to swirling off body stalls
pizza toss
striking poses with long arms and angles during high tosses
continual step and jump throughs
Swinging the "pot of honey": exercise: holding the sides of the hoop as if it is a big pot of honey and swinging it side so side with awareness so the "honey" doesn't slosh out! Then exploring all angles around the body, vertically, on the sides, above and behind with the same consciousness.
BODY POP: Taking the hoop from a vertical isolation onto one shoulder, letting it loop around the back and then jumping as it pops off the otehr shoulder and goes up in the air.
STAR: Lying on the floor sideways, supporting yourself with one arm while sticking the other leg straight up in the air with the hoop rotating on it. (Kind of like EROTIC but lying sideways facing the audience).
I am determined to set up a continuing practice schedule into the new year! Thank you for the determination and focus to continue this exciting work!
